Rounding Third
A Comedy by Richard Dresser

The Story: This is the tumultuous journey of two Little League coaches through an entire season. Don is the tough, blue-collar, win-at-all-costs veteran coach whose son is the star pitcher. Michael is a newcomer both to the town and to baseball. Despite their differences, Michael and Don form an uneasy alliance for the benefit of the team. Michael believes that the job of the coaches is to shield the kids from the intense pressure of competition while making sure everyone has a good time. Don thinks they should be teaching the kids how to win.

Out of these conflicting philosophies, deeper issues of the play emerge: how should we raise our children?   And what does it mean to be an American man?

RWTG is a troupe of psychotherapists who present dramatic readings of stage plays to illustrate principles of dynamic group therapy and foster community well being.  A moderated audience discussion with the cast and directing team follows each performance.

The RWTG's performances have been a resounding success at past AGPA Meetings.
The performance can be enjoyed and appreciated by members, family and friends.

Forming and Maintaining Peer Supervision Groups

The NSGP Training Committee invites you to participate in our first teleconference. The October Networking event generated an interest in forming peer supervision groups and this interest grew into a rich exchange of opinions, thoughts and advice on the NSGP list serve.

In response to the enthusiasm for this topic the training committee has arranged for...

Eleanor Counselman, Joanne Lipner and Robert Weber

...to offer a teleconference that will explore issues of forming peer supervision groups, leaderless groups and the pitfalls clinicians might avoid. All three of our colleagues have been thinking and writing about these issues, and we are grateful to them for sharing their insights and experience.
